Thrusters

I was tracing why my stern thruster failed. Rain water is running down from the area near the stern cup holder and the seat and it then routes around the apex of a bend in the fibreglass just above the stern thruster where it then drips onto the thruster and runs directly into the connection where the control cable enters the thruster.

I actually think a piece of plastic that stops the drips onto the top of the thruster would stop a bunch of the failures.

On my Command Bridge there are two coffees/cup holders. I noticed that RT installed small clear plastic tubes to the cup holder's base water outlet spigots and routed the tubes down and off to the side of the boat. I suspect a similar thing can be done elsewhere where dripping water from cup holders without the tubes hoses causes an issue.

I have a problem with my 302c and thought it was a shear pin turned out they never installed the gasket at the factory and the water has gotten in to the thruster and corroded the motor, have been trying since late May to have it fixed ,not impressed
