Thrusters

2016 25’ Ranger Tug
Sidepower joy stick will not power on but the remote will run the thrusters.
Has anyone else had this issue?

It has to either be the contacts on the joystick, the contacts at the thruster, the wire run, or the joystick component itself. I don't think it is likely to be the contact. There are four screws at the thruster joystick behind plastic caps at the corner of the joystick so it is pretty easy to inspect those. I would start there. I don't know what the thruster access looks like on your boat. Track down that connection and see if there's any moisture in there second. If they are both in good shape, I think the next step is to check out the joystick itself. I am not sure quite what that procedure is.

Thank you...when I went back to the boat most recently, I didn't have time to explore the issue much. I have a better picture of what is not working...the remote will run the stern thruster but not the bow thruster. I did replace the bow thruster fuse but still it doesn't work. The joystick continues to not work.
