Andrew,
Too save time I thought I would address you directly. Can you tell me how to fix this stern thruster? What tools I will need when I pull the boat out of the water. The size of that pin. ( Maybe I can get a few to keep on hand.) Can you send me a few along with a bill? Tell me all you know about this problem. Can it be as suggested that it is other than the pin? The motor winds up but no prop spinning.

Darrel
The boat is 50 miles away in the water. That is why i ask for what tools I will need.

Andrew did repond to the questions via telephone. Yes if it is a shear pin you need to go in from the cockpit. Removing the bait tank. And yes it is a tough job for big guys, old guys and the like. Sounds to me like I will let Andrew fix it. I guess sometimes the prop spins off if the nut was not tighten up proper. So I will carry an extra prop. Same one fits front and back. You would think a cotter pin would fix the prop nut so it would not come off.

Still don't know what tools would be necessary.

I post this for future reference for others that may have this problem. Could not find much in the Archives.

Hello Darrell,

Did you ever get around to looking to see if the prop was still there? There is a special allen wrench tool that is really a help to get the stern thruster out. You have extra shear pins located in your thruster manual and on the case of your bow thruster. Look forward to seeing you in September! I will show you how the long skinny guy gets it done! 😀

Sounds good Andrew, Looking forward to the visit to the factory and the gathering. You guys are awesome. Never heard of a factory offering such support as you guys. Guess that is the main reason I went for seconds. Thanks again to you and Jeff.
