Lots of boats out today, many. Fishing but as I went by Fossel Bay on Sucia there must have been over a dozen boats anchored. As I went on to Stuart Island another 10-15 boats in Reid Harbor. Great way to practice social distancing I am guessing a lot of folks are taking advantage of being off work!

It has helped to be able to escape on these nice days lately.
I was socially distant at James Island Friday
Jones and Sucia docks have been removed for repair.
Stay safe and be focused on distancing at gas docks

Apparently we weren't the only ones who didn't get the memo about the Sucia dock, and it didn't hamper attendance any. Ranger Tugs and Cutwaters dominated the flotilla there.

Apparently, state parks are now closed. I assume that means the islands too? And if so, does that mean all access is closed, docks and anchor/dinghy access?

It's only the campgrounds and some facilities like picnic shelters that are closed. Day use areas and trails are still open.

There is apparently no end in sight to the oddity of government "planning".

I don't see anything odd here. It looks like the state parks are doing what needs to be done.
