I have noticed a strange behavior from the toilet in my 2010 R-29.

After flushing the toilet bubbles for a couple of minutes. There does not appear to be any backflow of waste, simply bubbles in the bowl. Everything else seems normal. Has anyone else noticed this effect? Any suggestions as to the cure? Some advice/wisdom would be great. Thanks, AlamedaKen.

Let me ask a question.....after the bubbles stop do you loose the water in the toilet bowl? If you do it may be time to replace the rubber choker valve. They usually get a calcium type deposit on them over time and or become deformed thereby letting air come thru n cause bubbling. But if you’re not loosing the bowl water I’m puzzled.

Bubbles would indicate a back flow problem caused by a clogged vent. At least that’s what I read when I was troubleshooting my manual pump toilet on my previous boat.

My Inlaws just bought a 20 year old 54 foot Bracewell. Both the heads gurgled and bubbled. The Vent right at the through hull was plugged solid. We cleaned it with a drill! Then he found a deodorizing inline filter plugged as well. Once replaced the heads worked fine.

Good Luck, Leon

With ours the bubbles means it is full.
Maybe two flushes left. Pump out and no more bubbles ..
