Hi all.
I’m having a few issues with the toilet on my 2016 C28. First off the toilet is draining very slowly when I flush. Secondly it seems to be filling itself back up with water at an abnormally high level. Almost up to the rim. I tried several rigorous rounds with the plunger but to no avail.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When the bowl of the toilet on our C28 was filling up, it was from the joker valve needing to be replaced. We've got a 2020, so not sure if the toilet is the same, but it was a relatively cheap and easy fix - removing 4 screws, swapping the joker valve and replacing the screws. I don't know if that could be causing the slow draining, but if the valve were clogged up I can see that causing problems in both directions.

Is the joker valve attached to the toilet. I see the four screws right at the toilet before the 90 degree elbow that goes into the drainage hose.

Agree with the others. Joker valve the most likely culprit.
On boats 10-12 years old another problem presents similar symptoms. Drain hose clogged with calcium deposits. We had the drain hose replaced after 12 years. Same exact symptoms. Bellingham Yachts replaced the joker valve but that didn’t fix the problem. A little more work and the drain line was replaced. All was good!
Clogged drain line may happen sooner if you have a low spot where fluid sits in your line from head to tank.

Assuming it’s the same/similar toilet, then yes, there are 4 screws at the corners to remove. There was a prior thread on this topic giving some good instructions in detail. My cliff notes version is to make sure that you flush a lot of clean water through to get it as clean as possible and have some rags and cleaner there as well. Here’s a link to a manual for a toilet the same/similar to ours. On page 11 is a parts diagram. The joker valve is C254. https://www.raritaneng.com/uploads/L318v0922SeaEraOM-884f83ab.pdf

We have a 2021 Cutwater 28 bought new and have had the same issue since new. It appears they replaced the toilet and still the same issue, our dealer is now dealing with the factory. Ours fills over half way. It did not come with the joker valve and one was installed the second time the dealer had it. Brian Brown has given me some ideas to look at
