I looked through some of the older threads on the forum in regards to how members are charging there torqeedo batteries while under way, and I have some questions I wasn't able to resolve; so, hoping for some insight from fellow members.
Is there any advantage to making a direct charging cable from one of the 12v outlets over simply using a small 12V inverter plugged into same outlet and using factory charger. I realize there may be a small efficiency loss using the inverter, but they seem to me to be relatively negligible in the newer inverters. From what I've read it doesn't seem that the battery charges any more quickly with a direct DC connection.
Are anyone's real word experiences different from what I've surmised?
