Torqeedo product may be involved in a safety warning

I have processed my battery through this recall. Torqeedo seems to be on the ball with the issue. As of a couple of weeks ago they were shipping all the batteries to their Illinois main office until the service centers are set up to execute the pressure test. They told me it is a 2 week turn-around time for the test.
 
They are also offering upgrades to the higher capacity battery. Cost based on age of your existing battery.
 
Just entered my Serial No's online. Clicked "SUBMIT" and all entries disappeared. Hope it went through!
 
I've tried 3 times now to register my batteries' serial numbers with Torqeedo. First time the page just went away, the second time I did got an error message, and the third time I finally got this confirmation message:

Dear valued customer,

We have received your registration and we thank you for your support.

Within 24-48 business hours you will receive a message at the indicated email address with further information on the inspection and, if necessary, the repair of your batteries at one of our service centres.

Thank you for your cooperation and please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

I have gone through this routine which includes having Torqeedo ship me a box to send back the battery and then for Torqeedo to send me a replacement battery, however....I was offered an upgrade to their new more powerful battery with my old battery becoming a discount on the new one. It made sense to me and I accept their offer. I've got the new battery but have yet to try it out--looking forward to it. So I now have the equivalent of the 1103 CS Torqeedo outboard. I'm a happy skipper.
 
I swapped out for the larger battery. What I also discovered during the process was that my old battery was actually older by two years from by date of purchase. I had the receipt so they honored the purchase date rather than the serial number date so I received a bigger credit. Having more stored power is nice with the larger capacity battery. The downside though is that it will take longer to charge because of the larger capacity.
