Hi All,

Anyone have experience towing a tube on an R23 outboard? I was told I can hook a bridle to the U bolts on both sides of the transom. Since they are low, below the swim platform, I assume I need a booster ball like this one: https://www.westmarine.com/buy/airhead--4k-booster-ball-with-tow-rope--18696583.

I will definitely post an adult on the stern as a watcher.

Thoughts? Experiences?

Thanks!

You can utilize ⅜” polypropylene rope for best results; it naturally floats.

Just did the same thing with my R27. I used a bridle on the lower stern U-bolts. Worked great.

A bridle actually sounds like a perfect solution. Cheers, Ronmaloney. I'm going to do this too.
