My 2015 R25 SC, which I just had slung today, weighed 9200# This is a LOT more that the 5700# dry weight given on the factory spec sheet! This is with 70 gallons of fuel , empty fresh water , empty holding tank , but a rubber dinghy and small outboard). The EZ-loader trailer @1800#, gives me a total of 11,000. Your 27 is at least another 2000# I'd guess. So 13,000-14,000# .
There is a company here in Portland, ( Oregon), QuadVans, that converts Ford F350 vans to diesel and 4x4. It's a beefy unit, but fairly compact as compared to a truck. An acquaintance in my marina has one. It looks as if it would be up to the task. Don't t know the cost and actual tow capacity.
Otherwise a 3/4 to one-ton 4x4 pickup( diesel is probably best for these rigs) appears to be the mandatory minimum tow vehicle, though I do believe some tow R25's with a Toyota Tundra.
