Transducer Issue

My high frequency transducer will flash not finding bottom, range set to auto. The cup has antifreeze and from time to time will flash.
Any ideas what I should try?

How deep of water is this happening in? I’ve found mine will flash beyond 400-500 feet, and recall the last known depth until I get into more shallow water.

Deep water reads fine, it’s shallow water 5-20ft
