Anyone have this happen? After motor cooled I removed Trans filter cap and heard a small pressure hiss release. Everything seamed normal and fluid level on stick was normal. Next day tried to drive around my harbor and got warning again. Back to dock and while Trans was still warm removed Trans oil cap and oil flowed out immediately as I loosened cap. 2025 R31 D4320 motor with 180 hours.

We had this exact situation this weekend on our 2024 R31 D4-320 with 125 hours. The oil level was slightly low when warm, so I topped it off. We turned the ignition off to clear the warning, but got the same thing the next time we started the engine and put the transmission in gear. I'm suspecting a sensor issue and haven't had time to do more investigation.

I had a new transmission pump installed under warranty and it worked fine for 2 days without a warning and then it happened again. They shipped me a new sensor and this fixed the issue emediatly.

I had this happen several months ago with the D6 in my C30. With the engine still under warranty the local Volvo shop was perplexed. They have always done the required services and told me they have not had this happen before on a D6. My fluid level was fine so after connecting a computer to the engine and getting good readings, they suspected the transmission sensor. It was replaced and I’ve had no problem since.
