Hello Paul,

Look under the STB berth right beside the space for the head. Probably glued to the hull.

Thank you Dave ... Found it ... Now I have to figure out why I'm getting no depth readings ... My ignorance of this fancy Garmin doesn't help ..!!

There have been issues with the transducer, and it needed to be replaced in some cases. Check the plotter to ensure the transponder is setup first. Garmin support helped me get it right. Then check the mounting to verify it is secure to the hull

My 2013 21EC has a P79-style in hull transducer - like this:

The "cup" base is adhered to the hull. It is "filled" with antifreeze, then the actual transducer is screwed into the base full of fluid. Unfortunately, the factory mounted mine so close to the bulkhead that it is impossible to unscrew from the base to check or refill the antifreeze which can (over time) evaporate or leak out. Therefore, troubleshooting the system is limited to fussing with the display.

My transducer sometimes fails to read a depth. Most of the time simply restarting the Garmin gets the ducer going again. I did a software update but that didn't help much.

I would suggest antifreeze. Water could freeze and then you will have other issues.

Thanks Dave, your tips definitely saved an expensive trip to a boat house! Filled with antifreeze rv solution, works perfectly now!!
