New R-27 owner here...using her (Linda Lou) on the Chesapeake! With the weight of the generator on the port side, I have to use trim tabs routinely above 10-12 knots...and am experiencing a fair amount of splash onto the cockpit bench seat. I do have a swim platform. Anyone else experiencing this...any hacks?

Do you have a dinghy on the swim step? If so, there is a discussion here: http://www.tugnuts.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6518.

Otherwise do a search for splash or spray on this site and you might find something. One other thing you can do is to counter balance the boat by adding weight to the opposite corner. We keep a spare anchor and rode under the forward vberth hatch to help offset the weight of the dinghy on the stern. We also have 50lbs of lead in the starboard Vberth hatch to offset the port side dinghy motor. We store all our stock of beverages in that hatch as well. With all that and the extra dinghy straps discussed in the referenced thread we have solved our spray problem.

Thank you, Red Raven...no dinghy on my setup...but it sounds like I may be trimming a little too much for my swim platform setup. I'll cut down on that and take your recommendation of weight addition on the starboard...
