Have seen a lot of posts about trying to find leaks and where something is on the boat,
This is what I use its cheep about $10 to $15 got this one on Amazon.
Hope this saves you time and knuckles.

Unfortunately I have gone through 2 of these wanting to use it to inspect the rudder and prop zinc. It is supposed to be waterproof but a couple minutes in salt water and the screen goes blank! I thought it might be a poor connection or a WiFi issue but no luck. Can no longer get a picture. Same thing happened on the first one which I return as defective. You get what you pay for I guess.

Anyone have better luck using it in the salt?

Curt

Waterproof level is lp67 (good for a bout 1min in water) a lot better than my cell phone!
Mine works great if boat is on the trailer I use it to run wires and look in the small spaces
I can't get my big head into

IP67 is up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. No way did I go below 1 meter and it was only for a couple of minutes. It should work. Just a warning for those that may want to try. :geek:

I use a similar device but with inttegral screen that I got at Home Depot. Cost more and is only three feet long. The one referenced here looks more useful. A GoPro works great for inspecting stuff under water. But the wifi comms with the GoPro quits as soon as it is submerged.

Hi Curt your right should work in water for 30 min at a depth of 1meter (
3. Something ft) have the same rating on my apple I phone and it didn't survive a dunk in the toilet less than 30sec. Just can't trust the ratings!
Hope to see you on the water
