The root cause is, I believe, a blockage growing on the raw water inlet. In any case, I can't flush or run the washdown pump unless I stop the engine, and even then, it's not guaranteed. YET, the engine does not overheat. It runs at 172 deg normally, 176 deg when running above 1600 rpm. (Volvo D3).
So, there's a couple of questions: Why? What is the size of the line from the strainer to the RW washdown? And must it be replaced? (It's essentially flat where it makes the sharp corner to go aft.
Anyone else have issues with pressures in the RW system?
