Tug boats

I have been looking at the tug boats from Devlin Boat Builders, and was wondering if any one had been on one and had any information as to the quality? If so would like to hear your thoughts. Bob

I have been on several Devlin boats, and spent several hours at his boat yard. The quality is top notch. Because they are hand made, semi-custom boats though, they are quite expensive.

I talked to the owner of one on a dock once. It seems like they are in the same price range as Sabre or Hinckley, and then some. They are not semi-production boats like ours. They are quite expensive, but they are gorgeous.

He (Sam) had one for sale last year that he built on spec. I can't recall the price but I remember thinking that it was very reasonable.

I have only spent time on them at boat shows, but they seem very high quality.

That design in the May/June PassageMaker magazine looks pretty nice for a couple who wants a capable coastal cruiser....
