Hi fellow tuggers. After looking and counting pennies for a couple of years we've got our tug! The broker took our C-Dory in trade sooo now we have a R-29 up in Anacortes. She is the Aurora with the light green hull. I think she is hull no. 14. Quite a process but worth it. I appreciate all the information this group has provided. We still have a few repairs being made and I'm sure the questions are just beginning. My wife and I look forward to meeting up with some of you in the next couple of years.

Jeff

Congratulations. . Looking forward to seeing it and the two of you.

Congratulations on your R29 purchase and welcome to the Ranger Tug boating community..

Hi Jeff,

Congratulations. We know the Aurora, we walked by her everyday we were at Cap Sante. Glad she was bought by a C Dory owner. I am sure you will put her to good use. Do you plan to leave the Aurora in Anacortes? We have quite a group of Ranger Tugs there now. Welcome!!

Herb and Willie,

Congrats, Jeff! Another C-Dory owner moving to a Ranger Tug. I could make a joke about: the last one out, turn out the light. 😉 Just kidding, of course, it just means another opportunity for someone to become a C-Dory owner. That 29 is a beautiful boat - exciting times ahead!

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Congratulations Jeff,

As a former C-Dory owner I welcome you to the community Ranger Tug owners. You will never look back!

I figured he was showing you the way Jim....that was a CD 25 he traded in.

Congratulations! I know you will really enjoy your new Ranger Tug!!

Thanks for all the good wishes. We figured that we might as well stay in Anacortes until we can do a summer cruise. After that we would have her trailered down to Berkeley or Richmond. We live a hundred miles or so north of the Bay Area and find it very convenient to have a place to stay on the water since most of our families live around the bay. Retirement, in a couple of years, should mean some nice long cruises - up to the Broughtons or ?

I know the way, Herb; I was one of the early ones on this forum. Come to think of it, I may have been the one who told you about Ranger Tugs. 😎 Wild Blue suits us. One never knows what the future holds.

Strange glowing thing in the sky here today!! 😉

Best wishes,
Jim

After the survey and some repairs on various components of the Ranger, there is a certain appeal to the relative simplicity of the C-Dory. No buyers remorse but an acceptance that a bigger boat will involve more energy and $$$.

Yes, you did Jim. I will never forget that cold and wet day in bay in Wild Blue when Willie said....now this is a boat I could like. The rest is history.

I actually reached for my sunglasses just South of Victoria this morning. First time in about a week or more.

Best wishes back at you from the Sarita rest area.

"... from the Serita Rest Area."

You're almost home! Welcome back. As you can see by that bright thing in the sky, I turned the light on for you. 😎

See you soon,
Jim
