Tug Fest 2011-Sept 9th, 10th, 11th

Pam and Gene,
We did indeed find the card you left on Karma. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. I have added you to the list of attendees for 2011. I am assuming you will be coming in on Friday (?). If this is incorrect, please let me know.

As of today, we have secured the "One Man Jimmy Buffett Band" to perform on Friday night to the roar of Bob's Margaritta Machine!!! Bring your Margaritaville attire for this fun packed evening!

John and Rosa Verde will be attending on the Port Nut. Good times! Friday for sure if not earlier.

Hi David,

Wolf Pack will arrive Thursday, same as we did this year.

Also David, can you please correct the database for your attendee materials to show Wolf Pack as two words for our name tags, etc. We would appreciate that.

Gene,
Taken Care of! Sorry about the mistake this past year!

John and Rosa make 30 signed up for 2011 already!

We now have 30 vessels signed up for Tug Fest 2011 which is still 49 weeks away!

Along with all of the "Tug Nutters" that have made plans to attend, we have also invited Anne and Laurence Yeadon-Jones. For those of you who do not know who Anne and Laurence are, they are the authors of the "Dreamspeaker Cruising Guides". Anne contacted me today to say they would love to join us!

If they are able to attend (it is still a long time until Sept 2011, plans can change), I have encouraged them to bring along as many copies of their cruising guides as they can carry. We will provide them with a booth to set up their guides, talk to fellow "Tug Nutters", and obviously sell their cruising guides. In the meantime, Anne has asked that I pass along their web address. By making purchases from their web site, you are supporting the authors directly. Their web site address is: www.dreamspeakerguides.com .

As you can see, Tug Fest 2011 is shaping up to be one Margaritaville Bash! Fire up the machine Bob!

By the way, the Dreamspeakers series is pretty much the only cruising guides we have on Karma. The drawings of the various anchorages and photos are great! If you have never looked at one, I would suggest you do so!

One of the other traditions we would like to continue next year is our Tug Fest Recipe book. I am on a quest to collect more of your favorite boat recipes, pantry "got-to-haves" and helpful hints throughout the year. I will update our the recipe book and provide copies at our September 2011 event. (Beverages might be a good topic for our themed Margaritaville party) So send your "faves" via private message so you are included next year.

See you on the water
Maureen
😉

How about doing the craft fair/swap meet again. Letting everyone know early on should get more participants.

Nita

Nita,
We had already added the craft fair to the agenda for next year. We will continue to remind folks of this throughout the year as you had brought it up quite early last year too. By bringing it up, it gets it to the folks that are new or have just started following the thread.

Thank you for the suggestion!
David

Still holding at 30 vessels for 2011!

David & Maureen:

I've always wanted to be #31, so put Lobo (Dave and Lynne) down for 2011. Missed last year because of "mother illness", which was unfortunate.

Dave

Dave and Lynn,
You are now 31! Would not have guessed that you were more than 27 but...... if you insist...... you can be number 31!

We did miss the two of you at Tug Fest 2010!

Just thought I would bring this forward for those that have recently joined and/or took delivery of their new Ranger Tugs! We would love to see them at Bremerton next year!

The Holidays and the New Year has now passed, Spring is just around the corner (wishful thinking perhaps....) and it is now time to refresh the post on "Tug Fest 2011". We currently have 38 vessels signed up!

Maureen and I will continue to organize this event for 2011. We will also be attending, just standing at the Hampton!

Please let me know if you would like your name added to the list!

You are optimistic about not owning Karma by then. Grins.

Down Stream will be there. This will be our first. Although we did go last year prior to purchasing our 2010 R25-SC
Jim & Colleen Wilson

Jim and Colleen,
You are added to the list!

Herb,
I see you grinning over there...... I would be surprised if Karma is not sold by the end of January (at the very latest the end of February). Patty at Farallone Yacht Sales already has interested parties.

Good news came from the doctor today. While the ACL is torn in two, he is not recommending surgery at this time. Physical Therapy is the route he is suggesting at this time. I will need to wear an ACL Brace when I ski though.....

We will be at the boat show on Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd.

Our thanks to David and Maureen for doing a fantastic job in organizing the Tug Fests. Bob and I would like to have the Tug Fests continue so we would like to suggest we form a committee this year to learn from the experts, Maureen and David, the ropes of putting on a Tug Fest. This committee would then work on Tug Fest 2012. What do you think?

We are willing to be part of a team. Other ideas?

Karma-

Blessings is 34' when she is stretched out.
The Captain and Mate will attend.
We will also help you in anyway you desire.

Sunny and Fernie

Thanks Sunny and Fernando!
