I am a member but do not understand what the differrence is between a member and nonmember for viewing or doing any add-on's. I must first qualify that I hate anything to do with a computer as I find the language utterly frustrating. Unfortunately everything in this day is "connected" so I have to work with it. I have recently worked for 3 months on my new R-25 converting it into a "Salmon Fishing Charter Boat". I wanted to display all of the changes I have instituted but cannot figure out how to post any pictures and connect them to my membership. I would really appreciate that someone would, very slowly and simply, (using words that a complete non "tecky" would understand), give me a step by step of entering these photo's. Baby steps pls.......

Greetings Sidetrack,

Getting a User Photo Album for your Ranger Tug is straight-forward. It starts with you submitting a request to join the Users Albums group. Members of groups receive associated capabilities, i.e. creating photo albums and uploading pictures.

1. Sign on to the site, if you aren't already.

2. Select the User Control Panel link from the upper left corner of any page. Note: On the home page, this link is in your user menu (blue box in upper right of screen).

3. Click the Usergroups tab, then select the radio button next to the User Albums group.

4. Scroll down, choose "Join selected" in the drop-down menu, and click the Submit button.

Once you do this, an email is automatically sent to the administrator (me). That message will trigger my ability to approve your request, and you'll receive an email indicating your membership in the User Albums group has been activated.

I'll watch for the message, approve you membership, and look forward to seeing your pictures.

I'll also send along a PM (Private Message) with step-by-step instructions for getting your album started, so watch your inbox (New Messages in your user menu, or on the light blue bar under the header on every page except home).

Cheers,

Bruce

Bruce - have you officially taken over the site's tech duties from "DaNag"?

Greetings - "DaNag" still runs the site. I'm assisting the factory with basic admin tasks to support users. Send me a PM if you have any questions and need some help. If I can't address it myself, I'll make sure it gets taken care of.

Cheers,

Bruce

I'm afraid this won't help you as I too am computationally challenged. BUT My wife and I celebrated our golden wedding last September by visiting Victoria BC and took a day trip to Sooke Harbour where I took a picture of your 'Sidetrack' entering the harbour. At the time I had no idea what kind of craft she was but a few weeks later I was introduced to the Ranger Tug line and recently took delivery of an R-27 'Nano-Tug'. I would like to attach the photograph of Sidetrack here but see no way of doing so. If you send me (pease@stanford.edu) your email address I can forward it to you directly.

Thank you very much for your thinking of me. I run a fishing charter business out of Sooke and always sound the horn as I enter the harbour and wave to whomever is on the shore of the spit. Lots of people take the oppurtunity to take pictures but I've never recieved one. I am also in the final process of completely redoing my webpage to feature my new boat so your timing could not be better. My webpage is: www.sidetrackcharters.com and my e-mail is: sidetrack@shaw.ca . The next time you are up here, whether it is by water or land, contact me and I will treat you to some fishing.

You'll find instructions for including images in your posts in the BBCode Guide. There's a link to the guide (BBCode FAQ) in the blue box in the upper left corner of the home page.

The two methods and dependent upon your image being available in a Tugnuts album, or from somewhere else on the web. If you don't have an album set up, you'll find instructions a few posts up.

We all look forward to seeing your pictures.

Cheers,

Bruce
