Subject: Turning on Red nighttime running LEDs- R29 CB
I was showing my son and family about my new R29 CB late yesterday and was telling them the normally white LEDs in the cabin could be changed to red for nighttime boating. At the timer the cabin was lit up with white LEDs and toggling the switch for changing the white LEDs to glow red instead did absolutely nothing except a slight flicker of the white lighting.
I was a bit puzzled as previously I had no issue with this. My son and I chatted some about this and he made a sensible comment. Turn off the hidden strip lighting for the cabin port side floor under galley and the ones in both sides of the cabin ceiling to see if that helps. Sure enough, with the strip lighting turned off the nighttime chart LEDs could be changed from white to red. 😀 😳
No a big issue for sure..... but one to be mindful about.
