We have the original Majestic TV on board but would like to add “smart” features ( Netflix, YouTube etc). To add a Roku or fire stick it requires 120v power at the TV area which we don’t have. Using the same logic I have at home, my land TV has these “apps” programmed in to the TV. If I could find a 12volt 19-22 inch replacement for the majestic in the boat, we would have these “app” options and be able to login to the accounts for greater viewing pleasure.
Bottom line, I can’t find a 12 volt “smart” TV.
Anyone else able to or find another option?
Thanks.

There is a usb power adapter for the fire stick so you don’t need 120v power. Everything plugs into back of tv, works great on our 12v Majestic TV.

We kept the original Majestic 12V TV in place for viewing in the pilot house. The picture seemed ok because we were viewing it straight on so there wasn't much distortion. It was bad when viewing from the V-berth .I installed a bracket to change the angle and it was better but still not good. We had a Apple TV connected to it for streaming. This year I removed the Mirror in the Vberth and installed a 26" smart TV. It required running an outlet forward and cable to the bow. This project was well worth the effort. We have a 2000W inverter pure sine wave so there is no need for a 12v TV . We have a AT&T hot spot on board so streaming isn't a problem I also have the marine antenna attached and ran a cable line for marinas that have free Cable.

Extra outlet near majestic for Apple TV power supply

Cable and Antenna spliters for both TV

Cable and power run to the bow for TV

TV mounted where Mirror was

This was more work then installing a different TV but well worth it. We enjoy relaxing in the evening watching a good show ,movie, or Cubs game with good picture quality and a larger screen. With a pure sine wave inverter it has the same picture quality as at the dock with shore power so no need for 12V TV .

Most of these little tv boxes are actually 12 volt and that little box on the plug steps the 120 volt to 12 volt. I just cut the cord and put a cigarette lighter top plug on the end and make a female 12 volt near by.
Much easier then a new TV.
