Sorry, but I can not figure out how to lower the TV from its horizontal position to a vertical position on the r 27 (2013). I tried to find it in the archives, but no luck. Thanks.

I don't have the R-27. However, all of the TVs I ever seen in a Ranger Tug have a slip bolt attached to a small chain with a finger-sized ring on its end. The idea is to pull gently on this chain to release the lock rod thus allowing the TV to be repositioned.

Our 2014 has both a ring that is pulled to allow rotation and a pin that is pushed to allow it to tilt to vertical. The pin (rod) I think is what you need to push to do what you want. It is stainless steel about 3/8" to 1/2" in diameter on the right side of the hinge mechanism. You may have to jiggle it a little bit while you push it. Also support the TV with the other hand to take the weight off the pin. I am not at the boat so I can't take picture.

I don't know what I would do without my Tugnuts family. Pushing up on the TV and then pushing the pin worked like a charm. Thanks a bunch! 🙂
