underwater lights

Hello,

The port side underwater light in the stern stopped working. Starboard working fine. It flickered and then off completely. Is this light accessible from outside? If so I guess I'll wait till end of season to replace as I'm in the water now. And I presume its just a bulb replacement. Looks like a LED light. Any ideas?

its a 2021 R25.

The same thing happened on my R31

The whole thing needs to be replaced, here is the model on the R31, not sure if it is the same

While probably not recommended, I was actually able to replace it while in the water, there are 4 screws that attach it to a mount on the trim tab. My hand was in the water the whole time -very cold 😀 and don't drop the screws!

You can feed the new wire back in through the stainless steel protection cover, and ensure you reseal it with 5200 or something similar. It's a simple 2 wire crimp to wire it back.

I'm sure most people do it during a haul out.

I have a 2022 RT-31S and I am going on my third replacement. My lights look nothing like the Amazon. I wonder if they switched vendors.
