I have my original Garmin GPSMAP 7610xsv on my 2018 C24 and want to increase the size of my current 10" display. I'm having trouble reading some small print, especially Route time and distance to next waypoint, across the top of my existing display.

Anyone upgraded their GPS willing to share what Garmin model and specs they went with and outcome?

I'm looking at 12' and 14" display models of the Garmin GPSMAPxsv model line.

I'm hoping to use my existing RADOME and transducer.

Thanks!

I also have a 2018 C24 that I purchased new. Last year my 7610 stoped working and had to replace it. I installed a 1243 XSV and had to enlarge the hole in the dash just a small amount. If I remember correctly it was plug and play and the transducer and radar worked fine. The only thing I didn’t like about the unit is the SD card slots are in the back and cannot be accessed without removing the unit. I believe that Garmin sells a card reader with cable you can install and then you can access the card reader from the panel above the toilet.

I just replaced my 7215 with an 8616 and found the new chartplotter required a smaller cutout than the original; almost 2 inches in the vertical dimension and a 1/4 inch enlargement on the horizontal dimension. You may find the transition to be easier than you think as the new electronics are smaller than the original. If your old cutout is too large, BOE Marine makes custom adapter plates which cover the gap nicely and are exact cutouts for your new chartplotter. https://www.boemarine.com/shop/category/boe-custom-accessories-custom-adapter-panels-2471
