We just recently purchased a R 25 tag. And I’ve noticed a lot of people with the two bars or racks running across the top of the boat. Often used for a solar panel in a kayak. Would like to do the same where do you get these racks are they a factory item or is it a custom build. Thank you so much

The sport rack was certainly standard on our 2017 R25SC as well as the solar panel it supported. I would try asking the parts guys at RT. The other source might be Bolton SS who make all the rails etc. They are up in BC.

My sport rack on my 2008 R25 Classic was factory installed.

We have a sports rack on our 2009 R25 Classic. I know it was standard equipment on the R25’s by 2010.
I doubt that RT stocks them in parts anymore. As Chimo mentioned, Bolton Stainless made them for RT and they might still have the specs to make a set for you.

The other option would be to buy some Marine grade SS 1” OD boat rail tubing, four 90 degree elbows and four 1” 90 degree Tee connectors and make the racks yourself. If you do, just make sure the set screws have good purchase on the tubes and use blue Loctite to keep the racks secure. Several prior posts on the sports racks coming loose or flying off at highway towing speeds.

Make sure that you get one that doesn’t rust. I had an after market one that was painted black. The inside of black tubes weren’t painted. The inside of tubes would get wet, then water caused rust stains on white fiberglass boat.
