We are waiting for April/May delivery of our R25SC and thought I would take advantage of the Feb. Spring white sales to get a foam mattress topper (our experience with past V-berths is that is the best way to make the berth comfortable in light of the multiple cushions that make up the berth). I understand the measurement from the bow back is 6' 5". Is this accurate?
How wide is the berth from port to starboard at its widest? (The V-berth on the R27 is identical isn't it?)

Question #2: If using a couple of throw rugs in the main cabin aisle way to keep the dog from sliding across the teak and holly sole, what is the width and length of that space?

In the interest of safety, get the carpet from Ranger Tugs that fits the whole area instead of throw rugs. If not from Ranger, get someone to custom fit. It will protect the sole from the dogs and the dogs and people from slipping and falling.

The dimensions of the berth are 6'6" upper most part of the bow to the back. Width is 6'7", widest part between the side cushions. King size topper will fit most of it, we have a 3" topper that works well. The foam is easily cut to shape the V-Berth with an electric carving knife.

Thanks for the reply. I knew someone would come through with a tape measure.

If you are looking for sheets or bedding, Shannon at Yacht Bedding has everything patterned to make many different custom fit items. She advertises on here but you could also find her contact information at www.rangertugs.com/services.

Congrats on your new tug!
