I have a 2012 R-25 SC. During the summer months the V berth is uncomfortably hot and my initial attempts at cooling have failed. I'm toying with drilling a ventilation fan into the hatch above the passengers seat. Has anyone tried this? Can the hatches ,in fact, be drilled with a hole saw? Other suggestions would be appreciated.

We have two tools that we use and have been able to sleep for the last two summers on our boat down in the Keys without AC when at anchor. The first is a windscoop for the forward hatch. We have the Breeze Booster, and if there's any wind at all it makes a big difference. The second thing is we bought a couple of these rechargeable fans. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09PQH4VBK?ref=fed_asin_title&th=1 During the day they are clipped near the dash panel and blow directly on us while we're underway to help keep us cool, and at night they blow straight on us in the v-berth to help us sleep.
