The Victoria harbor website states that their voltage is 208v. This was confirmed when I spoke to them on the phone. The person I spoke to admitted that they were not the best person to speak with on this topic. I asked what American boaters did about this and she told there were few problems.

This doesn't make sense, unless everyone is lugging around a marine grade voltage converter.

If anyone has experience with the Causeway dock at Victoria, I could use a better explanation of what to expect.

Thanks,
Mike

Can't say for sure about that marina, but others in Canada have been no problem for us. Where I've seen it, 208v is for the 100amp service option for very large vessels, so my guess is that they are confused and talking about that.

I’ve stayed there before, they have 110v

208v means their power is a 3-phase phase system as opposed to a single phase system. Each line of a 3-phase power is still 120v. Not an issue for 120v boats. Only boats requiring 240v would be affected. I would assume most if not all would be designed to be compatible with 208v. Enjoy your stay!

Thanks everyone. Those were quick responses.
