Virtual Cruise - Southeast Alaska

Richard,
Great shots. Where did you put in?

Thanks Nellie,

More often the last few years we've launched at Prince Rupert, but we have also launched several times at Squalicum Harbor in Bellingham, and at Everett.

By the way, we are Bob and Nita. I think it's time to buy a Ranger, we'd love to see you in Seattle.
Bob

There's always sunshine in your photos (which are great!). What months gets you such nice weather?

Thanks! We sure take more pics when the weather's nice. And they tend to come out better, so they get selected for posting more often.

But last summer the weather up north was amazingly warm, sunny, and calm - by far the nicest I've seen in many years of cruising BC and SE Alaska. In a little more than two months in SE Alaska, we had only 6-8 days of significant rain. Some years it's rainy and cool well over half the time. The bad news was that there were several days you couldn't see much due to smoke from central AK, Yukon, and BC forest fires.
