Save me a trip to the boat? Does anyone know how many quarts I need to pick up to do an oil change? Also, I've got another 2 years on the engine warranty. Do I really need to keep using volvo brand?

The Volvo D4-300 takes 3.2 gallons of oil. I think the general consensus on this forum is that you do not need to use the Volvo branded oil-- you can use any oil that meets the minimum specs.
