I have a 2013 rt 25sc with a Volvo Penta D3 150 (~1250 hours). It puts out an “inlet air high temp” alarm immediately after starting. I can clear the alarm and the engine runs normally. I can’t find an inlet air temperature sensor on line, so I think it might be part of the air intake pressure sensor (part number 22320906)? If so it looks like that sensor can get fouled with carbon and can be cleaned with brake cleaner, or I can buy a new one for ~$280. I would like to try cleaning it first to see if that fixes the problem.

Question #1 does that sound right that the alarm is for the air intake pressure sensor even though it says air intake temperature on the engine panel alarm?
Questuon#2. Would it be better to buy a new one, rather than trying to clean it?
Question#3. I can’t find the air intake pressure sensor anywhere. I think it should be near the turbo somewhere but I can’t find it. Any help describing/photographing it’s location would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. John
