Volvo Penta E-Key for D3-200/R-27 ?

its standard, no additional cost.

if you look at my pictures from my seatrial there is a picture of the helm, the panel is obstructed by the wheel but there it is, two buttons, one for ignition on (fuel pump I believe) and the starter button, its pretty nice, love the no key part.

Does the E-key fob have a battery ?

No, not as far as I can see, you just swipe the fob in front of the little panel and it activates it, I love the Volvo engine, it has a cruise control like feature that allows you to step up or down by 50 RPM on this little rocker switch on the EVC.

I really want to see your R-27 when you're at the Fisherman's Terminal meeting. Let's make sure we 'hook' up. Last year before Ranger's switch to Volvo engines was made public I did learn about this prematurely and it's the primary item that attracts me to the new R-27 rollout. I've been a devout loyal Volvo auto owner for over 40 years and had their 5-cylinder engine in many of them. My whole family have Volvos exclusively and when they all come to our home it's like a Volvo dealership's lot outside. Today I have their inline transverse 6-cyl turbo T6 engine chipped with the Polestar upgrade and it's an awesome combination for moving our XC70 wheels. 🙂

As and aside... I wonder if, on a calm day and smooth waters, you can measure the sound dB inside the cabin at the front lip of the dinette table using the iPhone/iPad Application named "Decibel 10th" at 0rpm, 1000rpm, 1500rpm, etc up to your WOT rpm number. Have the cabin door closed as well as all windows/hatches and no cabin heater operating. I've done same on my R-25 and would like to compare the dB numbers.

Thanks... 🙂
