Before I go taking things apart does anyone know what their limit in fuel quantity is in their main tank before the Wabasto won't work? Mine has cut out when I am at about 35 gallons of fuel in my tank. This has happened twice so I suspect that the installer did not make the pickup tube long enough. The installation instructions say the tube should be an inch from the bottom of the tank. Not knowing the shape of the tank at the location where the tube enters perhaps this is the limit and then I must make sure during cold weather to have enough fuel before going on the hook and needing heat.
Thanks in advance for any input!

In my motor home, the genset will not work at less than 1/4 tank, so you have get home fuel left if you run it too low. I imagine that the webasto pickup is installed high for that reason also. But 35 seems like a bit much, it could be a bit lower and still give you some get home fuel left. I do not believe that I would want it to be down to an inch though.

I filled my tank and after a few start up sequences the heater started like a champ. Looks like I either stay above 36 gallons in cold weather or extend the pickup tube lower.
