I have a ranger 27. Can someone tell me where the in line fuse is located for the wabasto heater? Also where is the transfer pump? It is an air top 3900, when turned on nothing happens, error code flashes steady for 10 seconds, but can't hear the transfer pump. Any ideas appreciated.

the transfer pump on my R27 is located in the space under the step when you immediately enter the cabin, its accessed through the door in that step.

You need to count each flash and then look in the service manual to see what code corresponds with the number of flashes. You need to be careful when you count. Usually you will get two quick flashes and that means the next sequence of flashes are the actual code. This will be your first measure to figure your problem. If you want to do a master reset before diagnosis you need to remove both fuses that go to the heater. I installed mine after market so I do not know where Ranger installed theirs. If your heater is drawing fuel from your regular fuel tank check your fuel quantity. I need over 36 gallons of fuel remaining otherwise the pickup looses siphon. The tube should have been longer, but then again I won't pick up junk.

Let us know how you make out.

Heater unit is switched on,
Fault code F12 is shown.
Remove fuse.
Switch off heater unit with heater control.
Insert fuse again after more than 2
seconds.
Switch on heater unit again with heater
control.
NOTE
The following error has occurred several
times:
Fault counter more than 5 times
Incorrect start counter more than 9 times
Flame failure counter more than 5 times

If you have a flame failure it could be attributable to Low fuel in your tank (this is the easiest thing to do first, fill your tank) , a bad pump ( listen if it is ticking), clogged filter (it is located in the box with the pump), Clogged up glow screen (you will need to take the unit apart and clean it out or replace it) faulty glow plug ( you will need to take the unit apart and replace it. Replacement parts are expensive, so go with the easiest first and then progress from there.

Found the problem, the solar panel was supplying power to the control. Once I unhooked the solar panel, then rebooted the control , everything worked fine. Thanks for the replies to my post.

I pulled the in line fuse for the solar panel at the fuse block behind the steering wheel. Then I started the heater and shut of the house batteries, then turned the house power back on , and re-started the furnace. The error codes were gone and the furnace ran fine. I then re-installed the solar panel fuse.
As long as the solar panel was on line the heater control had power and I couldn't re-boot it.

Oh, now I understand, but that leads me to another question. Does that mean that the solar panel is connected after the house switch? If so, why? Usually the solar panel is connected directly to the batteries.

I was surprised as well when I finally figured out what was happening. The panel was installed by Canoe Cove and works fine, but it is hooked in after the house switch.

You may want to look into that setup. There is also supposed to be a lead to the engine battery for charging as well, so where are those leads? In my opinion a direct connection to the battery system either through the relays or directly to the batteries is the preferred connection. I can't see why one would want power going to things in that fuse buss. Additionally, it sounds to me that if the battery switch is turned off then you are not getting a solar charge to the battery.
