Just a heads up for, at minimum, those who own a 28 ft Cutwater and who have the forward bilge pump drain hose routing I describe below:
I recently repaired a leak in the drain hose for my forward bilge pump. Factory routing has this hose routed, along with another engine hose, underneath the bracket that supports the hydraulic ram that lifts the engine compartment hatch cover. Unfortunately, this exposes the drain hose to the ends of 2 of the 4 bolts that secure the ram to the bracket. While the engine hose has a protective sleeve, the drain hose does not. Over time, simple vibration pierced two holes - one for each bolt - in that hose. It may go unnoticed unless you happen to have the hatch open while the forward pump is running.
I had an opportunity to look into a C30 and the config / routing is totally different and this is not an issue.
I own a 2014 Cutwater and am unsure whether this routing is the same on all 28 footers
sincerely,
Jon Rider
