The coil-type washdown hose that came with my R27 is too short to reach the front of the boat. Any recommendations on a longer hose? Not sure if a regular coil hose like you'd find on amazon would work - they have garden hose type end connections.

The wash down connection is standard garden hose thread. I use a lightweight 25ft regular (non-coil) hose stored on a plastic "Hose Hangout" mounted to the cockpit liner next to the washdown connector. I keep the coil hose attached to the regular hose and stored in the "Hose Hangout" storage compartment. With this solution I get the flexibility and convenience associated with the coil hose for quick use around the cockpit/swim grid but can extend the use to all areas of the boat including the anchor. There is a picture of the mounted hose hangout in my photo album.

The only challenge is the tight right angle connection to the wash down output with the hose hangout in place. I added a pair of clothes washing machine right angle connectors which did the trick. I also found a very lightweight hose works best to fit in the tight space.

You can also get a coil hose in a 30 ft length. If you wan to spend more money West Marine has several coil hoses that include a quick storage pocket.

I use one of the "shrinking snake" hoses. Takes up very little room in my LP box.

Ditto on the shrink hose Kip. I got a 50 footer and it takes up very little space. I have a little hose hanger mounted on the transom on the port side (in the cockpit). I also hang my shore power cord on the same hanger. works great.
