My wife and I were boarded by the Coast Guard for a random safety inspection this week while chartering a 2010 R29 and one of the questions was the valve position for the waste overboard valve. I told them I was not sure since it was a charter boat and I was not that familiar with all of the mechanicals. We looked throughout the hull access hatches but could not locate the valve. I think they trusted us that we do not pump overboard and let it go. So where is the valve located?

Thanks.

Never mind, I found a pdf of the manual and if it was equipped with the macerator pump, the valve would be located in the access panel in the front of the mid-cabin.

The 2010 model did not come with a Y valve.

The 2009 Model does not have one either. For compliance a safety cover is placed over the macerator pump switch and the waste tank has a pump out connection. So far that has passed muster here in Pensacola, FL. I have been into every hatch, access panel, crevass and crack after getting hit by lightning through the shore power system. The tech's are doing most of the work but I am looking at everything. There "ain't no" y-valve.

Thank you. It is a little misleading when there is a rocker switch labeled "Holding Tank".

This is a bit off topic, but I have a 2008 R21ec with marine head/holding tank/macerator pump configuration (no y-valve). I'm wondering if removing the fuse for the pump would pass inspection in Florida? If not, what would be the easiest way to make this system legal?
