HI there folks,

I'm a new owner, C-28, boat being built now, delivery planned for May 2018.

So one thing I was thinking that would be nice, is if they would have a "boat build cam", so you could watch your boat getting built. That would be pretty cool, yes?

Seeing the various 'build threads' on places like The Hull Truth, those are cool threads - usually when someone is restoring a boat, they post lots of pictures of various stages of the process. They always get huge crowds of followers very interested in the restoration and construction process.

Seems a new boat build would have the same effect, and even more so for the purchaser? I'd love to see the hull mold process, watch the stringers and deck being installed, watch the lamination process, watch the motor getting dropped in, see the cabin and electronics getting installed. The excitement would only amplify, and you'd have a great picture of the stage of completion. And it seems like it would be a great marketing concept as well?

Curious for any thoughts on this. Cheers!
Tom

On one hand I would love to have seen pictures of my boat being assembled. On the other hand, I work for Sabre building a larger boat and there is a lot of stuff that goes on in building a boat that you just don't want to see. Like making sausage, you don't want to know what is in there. I did ask Ranger for pics of my boat before the hull and deck were mated so I knew better where things were located, I didn't get them.

Sabre ! Rangers and Cutwaters are nice boats . But they are not Sabres. I really like your analogy "Making sausage" your right!

Sabre uses a higher quality of appliances than Ranger/Cutwater, more wiz bang features, but underneath, build quality is about the same.

I asked a customer service guy that worked out of the Plant to take some pics as my 2017 CW28 was built in Nov/Dec. of 16. He then e mailed to me. Very helpful when drilling holes for stuff when you were concerned about what was behind where you were drilling!!

Thanks for the responses! Bill, do you recall the name of your guy?

Ronnie Gonzalez.
He gave me a plant tour prior to my purchase in Sept.2016.

Update. It appears you have already contacted our sales rep for Cutwater and they are getting photos for you. They will be in touch soon with these.

Thank you,
