On our 2021 31CB, we frequently find water on the salon floor, just forward of the inside hatch above the tanks. The water seems to be seeping UP, through the teak. The area under the hatch appears to be bone dry, including the area in the hatch directly underneath the problem (where clusters of thick white cables run). Similarly, all the adjacent cabinets are dry. No tell-tale drip marks on anything nearby.

Anyone else experience this? Advice and suggestions appreciated!

TIA,
Dave M.

Could it be the water from the fridge? There is a tray under the freezer portion to catch thawed ice. When you are underway above displacement speed, any water in the tray will spill out on the floor and make it look like it is coming from the underside of the teak.

Any chance it is an ac condensation line/pan overflowing? We had that happen in the forward berth.

Thanks, Robvic. I’m pretty sure it’s not the tray under the fridge’s freezer, as that is totally dry.

Thanks, Ethan. Good suggestion - will have the mechanic check that one out. Not sure how that water could travel up to the floor from that condensation line though!
