Howdy folks -

In the never ending hobby of boat tweaks I think we're about ready to address our noisy ordinal water pump in the R29.

In scanning the forums seems like the best success has been a combination of both a new pump (Johnson, Seaflo, etc) and an accumulator.

Seaflo offers a combined kit that has both the pump and accumulator packaged together...welcome any thoughts or experience with this.

I put a seaflo 42 series 3 gallon per minute pump and seaflow accumulator on our Solara 310. Wow so quiet.

Original pump, just add an IRVWPC unit to it... Works wonders, more quiet than virtually any other option. Also it gets even quieter with a newer/better pump.

It's an intelligent pump control box and external pressure switch. Install the switch on the output of the pump and connect the box between the pump and the power source.

Turns the pump into a variable speed and is highly efficient and extremely quiet at any flow rates less than "wide open".

We put a Seaflo 3300 series with no accumulator and it's very quiet. We have 4 other Seaflo pumps in use around our hobby farm and really like the performance. The've proven to be more durable then the Shurflo pumps we've had.

I installed Seaflo float valves to control my Shurflo bilge pumps. They have worked great and seem to be high quality. I don't image I will ever purchase another Shurflo product. I feel like the days where the more expensive product was always better quality are behind us.
