Wow! Have you ever noticed how expensive it is to go to the Seattle Boat Show. First there was the water maker for Destiny. And then the new stove and oven. And how about all the other little odds and ends that you need. And then that one BIG purchase... a new Ranger 21 EC! Yes that is right, we have once again added a Ranger Tug to our little flotilla. She will be Claret Red and named Stella Maris. While we plan to use her on the desert lakes, Lake Mead, Mohave, and Powell, she will spend a short period in the PNW before she heads south.

So yes, we are back! Our Tugnuts Username will be changed to Stella Maris so watch for our adventures aboard her as well as Destiny. And don't forget to check out my monthly articles at:

I have a feeling you never really left 🙂 Your purchase is interesting to me as I am always looking at the 21 as such a practical boat, exactly for the purpose you discribed... And easy to tow.. Welcome back. 🙂

Great to see you back here. I have seen you lusting after the 21s for several years now. Fantastic that you have decided to slip one in. I often wish I still had our first Willie's Tug here in Texas. It was just the right boat for dolphin and ship watching. I am sure you will have great fun with yours. Great article, your latest, the new Zuma will make a fine Mother Ship. I look forward to seeing her up close soon. As Irish Mist said, You never really left.

It is an exciting day indeed. The Ranger 21 was the very first Ranger Tug I ever saw back in 2005. It was the Harbor Boat in San Diego Harbor. I fell in love with it at that time and have always wanted one. When we purchased Solitude at the 2006 Seattle Boat Show, the R-21 would not have been practical for us therefore, we chose the R-25.

We have always said "one day" and that day has now come. Destiny will remain as our primary cruising boat here in the PNW with Stella Maris being our "Toy Cruising Boat" used to once again explore the "Lakes of the Deserts". The reverse cycle air will allow for overnight trips on the lakes in summer as well as winter.

She will be garage kept in Henderson right behind our home. This will protect her from the hot desert sun and heat when not in use.

What a great life we lead!

Great news indeed. The Ranger 21 is at the top of my short list. Can't wait to hear of your experiences, opinions and adventures.

Henderson ??? What happened to Castle Pines? Tough keeping up with you two.

Jake

Congratulations on your new 21. We will be doing the same thing for a Montana boat. If you need a new burgee for Stella Maris let me know. Welcome back to Tugnuts.

Maureen's job took us back to Henderson in early November. Since we already owned a condo there, it was an easy move.

Hi Dave & Maureen

We are so Happy that you return Tugnuts we really missed you guys. Good luck with your new boat.

Welcome back!!

David and Maureen:

What a pleasant surprise!

Did you try to tow Destiny to Nevada without a lot of success and getting a 21' is Plan B?

How did you guess???

You know, the best part of owning a Ranger Tug is, all of the great people that come along with it. Thanks to everyone for their congrats and welcome backs!

What a GREAT life we lead!

Good Friday? No, I would call it "Great Friday"! We got the delivery date today for Stella Maris, she will be delivered on Friday April 18th! What a great way to spend Easter Weekend, out playing on our new toy!

As far as we are concerned, you never left.

It seems that we will now be taking delivery of Stella Maris at the end of February. The factory has agreed to store her for us for the month of March as I will be having ACL replacement on the 10th of March. That means no boating until at least the 11th...

That is a very ambitious recovery time for your ACL procedure!

I figure, come out of surgery, go right to PT, good as new.... Okay, might have to wait until the 12th or 13th before I get back to boating......
