Do you have advice for a Webasto heater that does not work on a Ranger 2017 R29? I have lived on the boat 4 nights a week for past 6 weeks and it has always worked. Where is heater located? Manual says under refrigerator panel. There is no panel. White light stays on yet other light does not light up to show it is running. I am plugged into shore power.

I have a 2018 R29 and I have never had an issue an issue with the Webasto. That being said, People that I know that have had issues - it tends to be fuel related. Have you ever changed your Filter? The filter is accessed near the water pump in a back box.

Is the fan running, but just blowing cold air?

I realize that isn't much help, but it is what I have heard - not 1st hand.

I hope it helps.

Thanks - fan does not work either - that should help narrow it down - still need help

Hello,

There should be some fuses for the Webasto, I would try removing the fuses and wating at least 30secs-1min before reinstalling and turning on. Also does the green light in the corner flash while it is trying to run? If so, how many times does it flash? Count the fast flashes, it will flash slow once than flash fast and finish with a slow flash at the end. You wanna count the flashes in between. It will continue to flash till its turned off.

Thanks,

Andrew Custis (from Ranger) fixed problem. He responded to text in 30 minutes. Thanks Andrew! I now have heat tonight.
Andrew said "I would turn unit on and make sure white light is displaying. Shut the main house switch off and ensure the white light goes out. Turn the main house on and restart the process."
I turned all power off including shore power waited three minutes and then turned it all on and heater worked.

As an aside. If your unit takes fuel from your regular fuel tank the pickup tends to be much shorter that the one for the engine. On my boat, an R-27, if my tank goes below 40 gallons I lose prime. Your boat may be different, but something to keep in your memory banks if you get a fuel issue code. Don't ask me how I know!

Thanks! Just had the same issue after changing fuel filters, not sure if related. It now works after the house battery shut off trick. Thanks Andrew
