Weight of C-24 Coupe (242)

How much does the C-24 Coupe weigh? The Cutwater website says 6200lbs, but I have seen several other sources online say 4900lbs. That is a big difference, so I was just wondering why the discrepancy? We recently weighed our boats due to new models and changes, the C24 Coupe weighed in at 6,200lbs. Now thats with full tank of fuel, fuel fresh water tank and some water in black tank. Hope this helps.

Was that new 6200 lb number including the trailer? In other words, was that the total towed weight, or just boat and fluids?

The posted weights never include the weight of the trailer. Trailers from various manufacturers can differ quite a bit in weight. My guess on the trailer is 1,200 to 1,400 pounds.
Remember that 6,200 pound published weight doesn’t include any personal equipment on the boat either.
In our R25 Classic, the average weight of personal equipment - everything from dinghy to dishes - is 1,800 pounds. Our trailer is 2,000 pounds.
My guess is that, with normal personal equipment and trailer, you are in the 8,000 to 8,800 pound range for total towing weight on a C24.

I just trailered my 2017 Cutwater 242 Coupe to the local truck scale and the boat and trailer weighed 7,980 lbs. The trailer is supposed to weigh 1,100 lbs, leaving 6,880 for the boat. The gas was at 70 gallons, and the water tanks were nearly empty. The boat was loaded with all of our gear. We have a Westerbeke generator and AGM batteries.
