Weight of R-21 EC and FloatOn Trailer?

I'm curious about how much weight I'm pulling around. The Ranger site lists the boat at 2,750 pounds. I suspect that is a bare boat's weight. The FloatOn trailer doesn't have an owner's manual (anyway, I didn't get one), with snow on the ground and freezing temp I'll have to wait to look at it first hand to see if that info is included on the data plate.

Has anyone weighed their rig? If so, would you please share the info.

I'm towing with a 2003 Toyota LandCruiser with 6600 # towing capacity, but I'm considering a smaller vehicle with perhaps 4400 # capacity.

My trailer weighs 710 pounds. I manage pretty well with my Honda Pilot rated to pull 4,500 pounds (all wheel drive.)

Keep in mind that the load IN the tow vehicle reduces the load it can tow. So, while a vehicle may be rated to tow a maximum of "X lbs" if you put 4 passengers and a pile of supplies in the tow vehicle the load will quickly exceed the allowable combined trailer/vehicle weight rating. remember that the Honda Pilot (unlike most "trucks') has a higher tow rating for the 4x4 than the 2WD version,,,that's because the 2WD is a FWD.
Unless the towing you do is very local or just launch and retrieve a couple times a year, you may want more capacity (loaded boat+trailer+2or3 passengers=weight at the limit). make sure you install a BIG aux trans cooler on any tow vehicle, bigger is better esp if the vehicle is marginal.

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY............
Remember the Boat Towing Law...moving up to a bigger boat is hard enough without needing to convince your spouse that you need a bigger truck too!
So if you think you'll want to go for an R-25 in a couple of years.............................. 😉
