To the Tugnut community, welcome the Hunter Green R-27 Tugnacious, port of call Volcano, California, to the "cult".

Some of you will remember a post I made a while back asking about optimizing size, cost, fun, timing, and comfort.

Well, based on your replies it was obvious: go with the first R-27 you could afford. Jeff Messmer sold us Lee Shobe's 2011 R-27. We take possession next week and look forward to seeing many of you in Bremerton in September. The boat will live on its trailer in the San Francisco Bay-Delta region, but will be seen every summer in the PNW and wandering up and down rivers around the US (starting with the Sacramento, Snake and Columbia).

Thanks for all your advice! Like all new owners, I will be seeking much more of it.

Welcome to the fold. If you are taking possession of your boat in the Seattle area, join us at Fisherman's Terminal over Memorial Day weekend.
Congratulations,
Bob and Nita

Congratulations, we look forward to seeing you on the water.

Are you the Jeff that is or was a professor at UC Davis?
