Greetings, TugNuts. Bill here, Head Nerd over at the C-Brats.

Welcome to the new home for Ranger Tug owners, as well as anyone interested in these fine and unique vessels. This site has been built to allow Ranger owners and prospective owners, to have a place they can call their own. Additionally, members at this site will benefit from direct involvement from the Ranger Factory - Jeff Messmer and crew plan on using this site as their primary and official conduit to Ranger customers. They have big plans for the site, but I'll not steal Jeff's thunder - I'm sure he'll chime in soon.

My role: For now, I'll help out as I do over at the C-Brats. Longer term, my role will be relegated to cook in the kitchen...managing the bits and bytes at a level far below what anyone would find interesting here. Basically, I'll make sure the lights stay on, and add site improvements on occasion. As individuals are brought on board and trained, day to day site tasks and administration will be handled by others.

Unlike the C-Brats, this site has an official sponsor. Ranger Tugs will be far more hands-on here, than C-Dory is at the C-Brats. Funds are being provided for hosting by Ranger Tugs, and Jeff will toss a few nickels my way when nerdly skills are required. In addition to having a direct relationship with Ranger Tugs through this site, members will receive another benefit due to Ranger's funding - no ads. A tip of your hat to Jeff and friends is in order.

So, with all that out of the way - sign up, if you haven't already. As is mentioned on the registration screen, Ranger Tugs will even mail you a nice freebie for your troubles.

Welcome aboard!

Bill

Bill,

You are a GEM! We are so fortunate to have someone with your experience and passion for boating holding down the fort.

This is just one more example of the First Class -customer service driven company that Ranger Tugs is. A big tip of the hat to Ranger Jeff and the entire Team Ranger.

The only downer is now I will be visiting two websites each night because I continue to enjoy the c-brat happenings.

Again, Thanks a million.

Gratitude

jeffand bill, being a total computer neophyte , i dont even know if this post is going out to one person or all of the new members of this site. having just purchased hull 15 and on the threshold of bringing her home to auburn, thought i would share my preliminary plans. having only spent 2 separate weeks on her up in the san jaun [sp] islands under the most gratefully appreciated tutaledge of jeff gleckler[ skipper crest yaght sales] we came to the conclusion that we needed more room in the v berth. preferring to sleep feet facing stern. ergo, i will be raising the height of the sleeping platform up to the ledge [removing side cushions] that now houses the [[storage]] if one could call it that given that you have to tear the bed apart to get to it. by raising the height i think i can gain nearly 9 inches in width at the forpeak where i will relocate at least one reading lamp. to make up for the lost storage. i will be fabricating a long roller bearing drawer that will pull out into the main salon, mostly, clothling storage. later i plan on fabricating additional water tanks to replace the lost storage . this probably sounds ambitious coming from a first time boat owner[mini-trawler. that is] but out of the norm fabrication has always come easy to me, trust me i am not tilting at windmills here , i will keep the group posted with pictures and commentary as i proceed,.. idle up,, there'''s a new sheriff in town.. yours truly skipper steve,,,notaclue

Hello, Bill, aka, Da Nag,
Well, from what I can gather, you have been instrumental in creating both the C-Brat website, and, now, the TugNuts website. We are in your debt. Thank You.
