I am looking at a 27 whose engine was rebuilt after water got into the compartment due to a failed water intake, and the bilge pumps didn't keep up. I don't know more about the incident. Questions: other than potential wiring corrosion what hidden damage might also result from such a mishap? Can hull foam be waterlogged, etc.? Thanks!

It all depends on how high the water got. How long ago did the engine get rebuilt and how much has it been used afterwards. Usually issues will crop up shortly after the flooding. The most susceptible will be the thrusters. The rear thruster motor is sealed, but water could have gotten in. Then there is the wiring harness on the port side.
