My 2014 21EC maxes out at 3150 RPM when the throttle is wide open. I can hit between 7-8 knots depending on the current
Any other 21ec owner told me they get run 3600 or 3700 at WOT. Wondering if my boat’s WOT RPMs are too low. If so, any idea how to address? Perhaps it’s just a cable adjustment?

Thanks everyone!

My 2014 WOT 3200 RPM's. 9.5 knots with no current. This is what it was when new and no change as of yesterday.

The D1-30 Operator’s Manual indicates “Engine revolutions, rpm 2800-3200”. I presume this means WOT is 3200, which is what mine does, resulting in approximately 9 knots on an inland lake, no current. Prop is 13 x 12.125.

Tyler, my wot is about the same as yours about 3100. You could adjust the cable but then your idle rpm would increase. A lot of R-21 owners have adjusted the idle to lower rpm for trolling. My idle is about 850 rpm's just right for my salmon fishing. If I remember correctly the max rpm's for a yanmar 30 hp is 3600. My speed at WOT is @ 9 mph, I usually curse at between 1800 ans 2000 rpm's I usually go by the sound of the engine I do this with my farm equipment too!

Thanks all. This closes the case. Seems like I’m all good.
