I need some hinge parts for the hatches in the 21EC (2010 model) The pin in the hinge is missing or broken in one of the hatches on top of the pilothouse. These are the skylight/deck hatches, not the bronze ports.

Thank you,
Harley

Am curious as well, ours need replaced and one is missing.

You might check with the factory as to what was used on your year of manufacture.
I believe on my 2009 R-21 they used Diamond/Seaglaze windows and hatches.
Info: Diamond/Seaglaze, 26995 Gloucester Way, Langley,B.C
. Tel: (800)770-0455 or Fax: (604)607-0082
Hope this gets you pointed in the right direction to fix your problem. Bob

Still hoping for factory reply. I do not see anything on SeaGlaze website about deck hatches... just the windows for pilothouse.

The hatches used on my 2012 R27 are Jim Black hatches. I’d never heard of them until Tim McMillan, aka “Boatdreamer”, supplied me with that intel. Here’s the only place I’ve found that sells them retail. Hopefully that’s what is on your boat:

Thank you for the link...taking that research, I have traced the manufacturer of Jim Black hatches to https://www.gotohmg.com/ and I have sent them an email to find out if the hinges are replaceable or the whole
hatch must be replaced which is a bit of a waste. I do see the handles and lifters are available. I am good as long as I don't want to use the hatch.

I had to change out one of my hatches on our R23 and yes, they are Jim Black hatches. The hinge was broken as well and no, there is no way to just replace the hinge. I had to replace the whole hatch but luckily, it was easy. And yes, I purchased it through Great Lakes Skipper.

I did look at HCH when sourcing parts for my Jim Black hatches and they were out of stock of just about everything. I just looked again and of the 18 parts they list, 13 are out of stock.
